Savor and Digest

Remember me when I’m alive,
Call, write, or text,
Remind me of our times that I’ve forgot,
Make new times for us to forget.

For when it is my time to die,
By animal, health, or crash,
I will go easy, I will go sweetly,
I will go without regret.

Forget me when I am gone,
No trace, mark, or step,
Break my ties from this world,
It is as though we have never met.
